A+ SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT BOOT CAMP – July 2011

WORKSHOP EVALUATION – Session I

What did you like most about the facilitator/sessions?

I like the fact that the sessions were interactive and the scenarios were similar to what we face on a daily basis.  The points were broken down and easy for the first timers to the class to understand.

The facilitator and session were “well put” and I enjoyed it very much.

The interaction and insight, including everyone’s opinion.

The sessions were simple, to-the-point and educational.  The facilitator was genuine and knowledgeable.

The sessions were very interesting; they were simple.  I like the role-play most of all.

The real life scenarios in day to day operations.  The valuable information on each topic.

Very well presented.  Lots of “food for thought.”  Very helpful in my day to day work and personal life.

The instruction was very easy to understand, pleasant and fluent.  The session today was very interesting and full of valuable info.  It touched a wide range of matters relating to the course.

The acting out of role-play scenarios.  The duties of supervisors.  The impact of individuals.

Information; role-playing; out door activity.

The role-playing.

In what area(s) would you like to see an improvement?

No improvement needed.

[No areas of improvement recommended.]

I like the informal sessions, but I think tables should be provided so we can write on.

There is no improvement [needed].

More prizes J

I think the coverage is wide.

For persons just starting in this area – more time, sessions to act more practical situations.

Persons acting in supervisor positions

So far everything was OK.  We’ll wait until next week.

Listening to people’s experiences.  This goes much further than any text book.

WORKSHOP EVALUATION – Session II

What did you like most about the facilitator/sessions?

What I like most about the sessions [is that] everyone is supportive of each other in the sessions.  [In] the session with the ball, everyone was there for each other, even though some of us did not catch the ball.  We did not pull down each other.  It taught me to be fair and listen to each individual problem without jumping to conclusion or taking a side.

Well organized, time well spent, clear and got the subject matter brought over well to students via “real world” situations.  Congrats to Alexia.

Very helpful in carrying out of daily activities on my job.  A lot of “food for thought.” Very intense.   [My] first supervisor’s session. Very well presented.

The role-playing helped people to understand how to deal with different situations they are faced with.  Participation of all members who came to the course – gave them a chance to express themselves.

Her knowledge and expertise in the field.  The role playing exercises were informative.  Educational and lots of fun.  Active participation.

I liked the group discussions on discipline.  The group input was terrific and helped me understand a lot more.

The sessions were very interesting.  I have learnt a lot [from] the sessions.  The role-plays were very interesting.  The facilitator was very professional.

It lets you know what you are dealing with and what supervisors should do and what [should] not be done.  You will also know how to handle your goals and be able to learn from them.

It was very informative.  Also impressed the point of view that management as well as workers have and it showed me how to reach common ground between them.

The facilitator was very professional and well prepared for the sessions.  The sessions were interactive.  I came away with a  wealth of knowledge which I hope to pass on to my coworkers.  I just want to say thank you for sharing your knowledge with me as a tool to improve my personal development.

The session was strategically structured to highlight and emphasize the key points to effective supervisory management.  I would recommend this course to supervisors and aspiring  supervisors.  It can be seen as a short refresher course for those who would [have] done Supervisory Management before.

The facilitator was knowledgeable and was very articulate in her presentations.  Alexia was very confident as she presented the material.  The sessions were very practical and realistic for our time period as it relates to the modern work environment.  I recommend the course for all supervisors.

In what area(s) would you like to see an improvement?

I think this boot camp would be good for managers as well as CFOs.  It will teach them to listen and understand each person’s problems and not be biased.

At least one more day in this workshop to do more practical sessions.  For some parts of session, the lights in room need to be raised up a bit – good for computer but dim for writing.

Should have been a little longer.

Let people explain a little of what their jobs entail.

More time!!!

Role-play scenarios and actual issues that came up could be increased.

If the course can be adapted to a full day course, much more can be gained.  The time frame was compact and would be better served if it was longer.

Participants were told not to put their names on the evaluation forms to encourage objective and unbiased feedback.
